In October 2015, a large Midwestern utility decided to replace an aging GE excitation system at one of their generating stations. They specified a Basler DECS-2100 system and selected E² Power Systems (E²PS) to carry out the very challenging installation.
E² Power Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Basler Electric, performed a retrofit of the existing voltage regulators and power system stabilizer excitation equipment on a large generator in the Midwest.
In the fall of 2024, Basler Services performed an upgrade for a large customer by replacing an aging ABB Unitrol F static excitation system with a DECS-450 Digital Excitation Control System.
